This waterfall is located on the Hudson River near where the Mohawk River joins both rivers in Cohoes/Watervliet.

The waterfall is classified as a cascade, but is very pretty none the less. At peak flow the cascade can barely be made out from the turbulent rapids of the river, but during normal flow offers up a very nice scenic view from Peebles Island.

Below are some links to show a small sampling of one of the trail systems within the park. There are miles to choose from!

  • Can be busy during the summer
  • Bikes not allowed
  • the trail systems can be slippery
  • Cliff edges in the park can be dangerous

Please refer to Russell Dunn’s waterfall guides, published by Black Dome Press.
