It may seem that there isn't much content on this site, but that is not the case! You just need to become a member! Membership is FREE! When you sign up we do not ask any personal questions or take any surveys. We only ask that you create a user name and password for login. It's that simple!--

My name is Edward Smathers and I am a passionate fine art photographer who promotes and advocates nature through powerful forms of art and literature.  Dig The Falls specifically focuses on waterfalls, but also will be addressing all aspects of nature itself! Please feel free to browse our pages and visit the links posted on this site. If there are any comments or suggestions, please contact me via E-mail and I will be more than happy to read your questions, comments and/or suggestions.

The goal of Dig The Falls is to create a thriving community that shares a mutual love and respect for everything nature, and eventually a place where we all can share our experiences through an interactive community friendly "blog" type of atmosphere. We will include places, descriptions and even any photos you would like to share from your own personal experience.

We are continuously adding new articles to our library and always welcome more to be added from our members.

We plan to add an extensive list of New York State Waterfalls to our site very soon. This list will include:
-Waterfall name(s)
-Town in which waterfall is located
-County in which waterfall is located
-GPS Coordinates
-Height and accessibility of each waterfall and much more
Right now our list has reached over 1300 different waterfalls (450 now reside in the Location Details page, with the rest to be added shortly) and we will be planning to add at least another 500-1000 before the list is completed. We will be posting the list, unfinished, hoping that our community will be so amazed with its size that they will feel compelled to keep contributing to it. We cannot publish the list until we know that the information is as accurate as possible, but we need our members help to accomplish this goal. Ask how you can help!!
