POESTENKILL — A nature preserve at one of Rensselaer County’s most picturesque waterfalls is being closed to the public after repeated efforts failed to keep people from swimming, drinking and littering there.

This is an unfortunate, but all too common story about the areas around the falls of New York State. This isexactly the reason why you will only be finding just over 400 waterfalls listed here in the future as apposed to the OVER 2000 waterfalls that should be.
