Beer-Walls-1

Enjoy multi-season adventures at the Beer Walls!

The Beer Walls at Chapel Pond Canyon is not only a popular spot for rock and ice climbing but also home to the 150ft Beer Walls Falls that forms on the shoulder of Round Mountain. When you reach one of three lookouts for this waterfall, you will have a stunning view of part of The Great Range of the High Peaks in the distance to the West.

Getting there – The parking area for the Beer Walls is located on the Eastbound side of Rte 73 just after passing Chapel Pond. It will be the first large pull-off on the left if traveling West. We recommend switching to the satellite view of this map because the pull-off is visible. From the parking area, walk West along the road until you come to a small wooden bridge that leads to an uphill trail. Follow this trail until you come to the outhouse, then proceed to the right on the unmarked but worn trail until you come to an area where you climb up between two large rock formations. at this point, if the falls are flowing well, you will be able to follow the sound. Otherwise, follow the trail to one of three outcrops. We have found the best view of the falls to be the Western-most lookout.

As with many, Beer Walls Falls may be prone to running dry during the late Summer months if lacking rainfall. It is best observed in Early Spring or after a storm.
