Cattail Falls, Sullivan County, New York

Roadside and beautiful, Cattail Brook Falls is a great location that is still relatively unknown.

Cattail Brook Falls – Livingston Manor
Aka: Possible/Unconfirmed Bridal Veil Falls

Location: Livingston Manor, Rockland Town

Parking and Trailhead: 41.88503, -74.84158
Stream/River/Watershed: Cattail Brook
Height of Falls/Type: Multi-tiered
Level of Difficulty/Hiking Distance: Short Scramble

Comments/Notes: Parking is along the side of the road near the guard rails. Please use caution!

You can hear the falls from the road. Find where the guardrail splits and use this as the trailhead. This entrance point brings you right to the top of the waterfall; There is no official trail. This does not seem to be a well-visited area, so you will have to find your way down to the bottom. Again, please be careful. If you continue downstream, you will see a few small ledges and cascades, which can be fun to add to the trip if this is the only falls you plan to visit in the area.
