Beautiful and historic!

Conklin’s Gully, located in the town of Naples, is a hike that showcases over 10 waterfalls, some ranging from 5 feet to the largest being over 50 feet. Conklin’s Gully is located in the High Tor Wildlife Management Area which is part of the New York State DEC. The DEC has a parking area right next to the beginning of the gully for you to park.

Be prepared to get your feet wet while hiking this gully. Crossing the creek to the next waterfall is sometimes a must and there are parts of the gully that require you to use a rope to pull yourself up either the fall or the side of the gully. Proper foot apparel is recommended for this hike. Some waterfalls can be as small as 5 feet while there are several cascading waterfalls that total up to 30 feet in length. The last waterfall is the grand finale, totaling over 50 feet tall.

This is an in and out hike, due to the last waterfall being a steep wall of rock that can be very slippery year round. You should not take the risk of climbing up this waterfall. It could result in serious injury.
