Death Brook Falls
Death Brook Falls, also known as Secret Falls, is a 70-foot cascade formed on a small tributary to Death Brook. The shape of this waterfall, similar to that of Beaver Meadow Falls in Keene, allows for a nice-looking cascade even in times of low water.
To get there: GPS: 43°48’34.3″N 74°35’34.1″W – From Blue Mountain Lake, follow Route 28 for approximately 9.4 miles. Look for a yellow gate on a dirt road on your left and park on the roadside in a small area near the gate (43.812855, -74.595966). From the gate, follow the road southwest to an open area. Walk straight across this area and pick up the trail. As you continue, the trail will pass by a scattering of moss-covered limestone blocks on the right. Continue on the path until you reach a small stream flowing from your right. Follow this stream up to the falls.
This waterfall can be found in the Adirondack Waterfall Guide by Russell Dunn.
