Delphi Falls, Madison County 2018 IMG_0138

This area was temporarily closed by the County due to people ignoring signs stating not to swim there or climb on the falls. Also, the complete disrespect of the public to keep the place clean and not leave their garbage all over contributed to the closure. There was trash, including used diapers, left on the lawn and in the water.

DO NOT drive over the path that leads to the falls. Parking is not permitted on the lawn. If it’s crowded, find another place to visit.

Delphi Falls County Park opened in August of 2018 following purchase of the land by Madison County. The land contains two waterfalls of 52′ and 65′.

The 65′ lower falls form on East Branch Limestone Creek and are accessible by walking along a short path from the parking area. According to the Madison County website, dogs are permitted as long as they are on a leash, however swimming is not permitted. The park is open year-round from sunrise to sunset.

Delphi Falls County Park is a tobacco-free.

Relatively close-by, you’ll find Chittenango Falls State Park and the 167′ Chittenango Falls.

Please carry out what you carry in. DO NOT leave your garbage for others to clean up. Follow the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics 7 Principles.
