You can’t see this one from the road, but it is easily reachable from the parking area.
Falls on East Jimmy Creek is relatively small but well worth a visit while in the area (Possibly coupling it with a visit to Auger Falls). This little waterfall offers a very small area to park your car on the roadside and a fairly inconspicuous trail that follows the creek up to the first major waterfall.
While it is not suggested to visit this location during the winter time, due to the lack of parking, once the snow melts this is a great location to begin a short to moderate hike in past the waterfall.
There are several waterfalls of a similar name on this creek, this seems to be the only one that has been fully referenced in books and online. It is about 10-15 feet high and is split in half by a boulder at the top.
To get there: GPS: 43°27.170’N 74°14.000’W – From north of Wells (junction of Routes 8 East & 30 North), drive north on Route 8 for ~1.2 miles and park in a pull-off on your right. Follow the trail along the south bank of East Jimmy Creek for <0.1 mile to reach the waterfall.
This waterfall appears in the Adirondack Waterfall Guide by Russell Dunn.
