Falls on Whiteface Brook
The Falls on Whiteface Brook are a 30-foot-high, off-trail waterfall.
To get there: GPS: 44°21.057’N 73°55.497’W – From Lake Placid (junction of Routes 86 & 73), drive northeast on Route 86 for 2.9 miles. Turn left onto Connery Pond Road and head northwest for 0.6 mile to park in an area at the drivable end of the road. Follow the red-blazed trail/abandoned logging road north for 2.5 miles. At the trail junction near the northeast end of Lake Placid (the lake), turn right and follow the red-blazed Whiteface Mountain Trail north. You will pass by the Whiteface Brook Lean-to at ~1.0 mile. Continue north for another ~0.5 mile. Listen for the roaring sound of a waterfall on your left, and bushwhack 150 feet into the woods to reach it.
