Falls at Wilmington Notch
The Falls at Wilmington Notch is a 40─50-foot-high cascade/falls formed in a dynamic, rocky gorge on the West Branch of the Ausable River.
In order to access the waterfall through the campground, you must either be a guest or pay the day-use fee. The waterfall can be viewed from the other side of the river from the Whiteface Mountain Ski Center.
To get there: GPS: 44°21.029’N 73°51.808’W – From Lake Placid (junction of Routes 73 & 86), drive northeast on Route 86 for 8.5 miles. Turn left into the Wilmington Notch Campground, which is located at 4953 Route. 86, Wilmington, NY 12997; (518) 946-7172
