High Falls Philmont NY

Explore a hidden gem at High Falls Conservation Area

The Village of Philmont in Columbia County holds a hidden gem in the High Falls Conservation Area.
One might never suspect there would be a 150-foot waterfall in this small village however, there is plus a second about half that height.
The 47-acre High Falls Conservation Area is maintained by the Columbia Land Trust who work to preserve natural areas.

With two miles of trails that led to both the base of the falls as well as a higher vantage point from an overlook, you can explore areas along the Agawamuck Creek where you’ll find two other waterfalls, Agawamuck Falls and a waterfall forming from an old dam.

This waterfall can be found in Russell Dunn’s Hudson Valley Waterfall Guide.
