The Parks Explorer App by New York State Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation is a welcome addition that will undoubtedly help people plan their days.

With this app you can sort through “staff favorites”, “bucket list locations”, “lighthouses”, “hidden gems”, “golf”, and “military heritage”, in order to find your preferred location and plan a trip!

The app also allows you to search based on an assortment of search criteria like if there is a visitor center, picnic area, hiking, camping, and our own favorite… WATERFALLS!

Not only that, you can also find out if a park is closed due to reaching its capacity, saving a wasted trip and frustration, but you can also load your Empire Pass to the app so you never have to worry about forgetting it (as happened to me only a few weeks ago)!

Download the app and have a good look at it and discover ALL of the features. You will not be disappointed!

You’ll find he links to download the app, for Apple or Android, in the press release below.
