Hector Falls – Hector, Schuyler

One of the biggest surprise roadside waterfalls near Watkins Glen!

Hector Falls is a roadside waterfall located just outside the town of Watkins Glen on route 414. You can park on the side of the road before or after the bridge to get a great view of the first set of falls. Be careful, cars fly by on the road so it can be dangerous. The second and third sets of falls are below the bridge and located on private property so they are not accessible.

The three falls total in at about 165 feet in length. The first falls that you see from the bridge is around 50 feet tall and is very stunning when the water is flowing. The other two falls can only be seen fully from Seneca Lake because it being on private property. Because of its location, it is an easy stop on the way to either Watkins Glen or Ithaca.
