Are you a local Historian and want more opportunities to share your community’s history?

Dig The Falls is actively looking to promote local history throughout the state by asking any local Historian to share their knowledge of waterfall locations and/or the areas surrounding them.

Our main interest is in being able to provide a couple sentences, to several paragraphs, of historical significance to our location pages, including ghost stories and/or local lore. We would also be interested in publishing stand-alone blogs from anyone who would wish to contribute.

We envision this project creating a little more buzz around the history of localities throughout NY, while drawing attention to the vast resources available to everyone through our local Historians and historical societies.

Full credit to each write up, including any citation and/or hyperlinks, would be included and well-defined. Please contact Edward M Smathers (founder of Dig The Falls) if you are interested in contributing or have any questions: info@digthefalls.com
