Parking: 43.84081, -74.89351
Trailhead: 43.83793, -74.89515
Stream/River/Watershed: Twitchell Creek
Height of Falls/Type: total 100 ft spanned over 1/3 mile, several small cascades and 1 large cascade
Level of Difficulty/Hiking Distance: .3 miles walking back down the road from the parking area brings you to the trail. Look for a faint pink double ribbon on a tree. From this point it is about a couple hundred feet to the top of the large falls.

Comments/Notes: The parking area is right at Twitchell lake. This is also the same parking for the trailhead to Silver Lake and Raxorback Pond.

From the parking area you will walk back down the dirt road. While walking you will hear and see several small cascades from the road. A short scramble/bushwhack will lead you to another waterfall located here: 43.838620, -74.893460.

Continue down the road for a total of about .3 miles. The first good landmark to watch for is the electric poles on your left. These can be seen just after one mile, on a bend in the road just at the bottom of the small knoll. From here you will see the trail on the left.

For the main waterfall, the trail is easy and short, and brings you to the top of the waterfall! The trail starts by the roadside. You will have to look hard for the ribbon on the tree, but the trail is well worn and can be seen from the road if paying attention. Follow the trail which will bring you straight to a HUGE boulder. Immediately to the left of this boulder is the very top of the falls. Taking the trail to the right of the boulder will lead you down to the base of the falls.

One section does come quite close to the edge of the falls as you are going down. Please take caution! This portion of the trail is slippery and muddy in spots. You will have to find your way around the bottom for views of the different sections of the falls. There is no real view of the falls in its entirety. NOTE: The upper portion mentioned here is not a good location for children.
