Falls along River Road; a hidden gem
These Falls along River Road are a 40-foot cascade is made up of several drops on an unnamed stream just before joining the Sacandaga River. While mostly seasonal, this waterfall is best viewed in early Spring but, will also come alive with a good rainfall.
Getting there: From Northville, take Rte 30 north for 3.2 miles. Turn left onto County Rte 6 and then immediately turn right onto River Road. Follow the road along the Sacandaga River’s west bank for approximately 1.5 miles. The falls will be visible on the left. There is just enough room to park on the shoulder of the road if you’d like to see the falls up close or get a photo.
