Just a quick note here, this is a lengthy read.
Annsville is a town in Oneida County. The town is named after Ann Bloomfield, wife of a founder. The Town of Annsville is in the northwest part of the county.
History
Annsville was settled in April 1793 when John W. Bloomfield moved from Burlington, New Jersey to what is now the hamlet of Taberg, and erected a saw mill and a grist mill. The north town line is the border of Lewis County, directly northwest of the town of Taberg

Blennes Corner – A location in the southwest part of the town.
Blossvale – A hamlet near the south town line, named after the Bloss family who were early settlers of the area. A former railway station was located here.
Bowman Hill – An elevation located northeast of Taberg.
Corkin Hill – An elevation located north of Pond Hill. Partially in the Town of Florence.
Finn Hill – An elevation located north of Taberg.
Glenmore – A hamlet in the south central part of the town.
Florence Creek, falls on, Slater Rd I formerly named Slater Road (falls on)
McConnellsville – Home to Harden Furniture Co. one of the largest employers in town.
Pond Hill – The area surrounding “Mack Pond”, west of Taberg on Route 69.
Taberg – A hamlet in the southeast part of the town on Route 69.

Ava is a town in Oneida County. Ava was named after the Kingdom of Ava. Ava is located within the Tug Hill Plateau region, and the north town line is the border of Lewis County. The Mohawk River, and Black River run through Ava, and Fish Creek forms Ava’s western border with the Town of Annsville. The Town of Ava is in the north central part of the county. Ava is north of the city of Rome.
History
Ava was formed from Boonville on May 12, 1846. It was the second to last town to be created in the county, followed only by Forestport in 1869.

Ava – The hamlet of Ava is on NY 26.
Flint Town – A hamlet south of Ava.
Redmond Corner – A hamlet in the northeast corner of the town.
Webster Hill – An elevation located northeast of Flint Town.
Boonville is a town in Oneida County. The town is in the northeast of the county. The town includes a village, also called Boonville. The town and village are named after Gerrit Boon, an agent of the Holland Land Company.
History
The Town of Boonville was created in 1805 from the Town of Leyden.
Geography
The north town line is the border of Lewis County, and the east town line is the Black River. The former Black River Canal was constructed to connect to the Erie Canal.

Alder Creek – A hamlet at the junction of state routes 12 and 28.
Alder Creek Station – A location in the southeast part of the town, west of Alder Creek.
Boonville – The Village of Boonville is on NY 12 at 12D.
Hawkinsville – A hamlet east of Boonville village, near the Black River.

Hurlbutville – A hamlet in the southwest part of the town.
Jackson Hill – An elevation located south of Boonville.
Park Hill – An elevation located east of Boonville.
Pixley Falls – A waterfall located within Pixley Falls State Park.
Pixley Falls State Park – Located on NY 46 several miles south of the Village of Boonville and adjacent to Hurlbutville.
Potato Hill – An elevation located southeast of Boonville.

Sperry Hill – An elevation located east of Boonville.
Camden is a town in Oneida County. The town of Camden contains a village also called Camden. The town is in the northwest part of Oneida County and is northwest of the City of Rome.
History
The town was formed from the Town of Mexico in 1799. The town is north north west of Oneida Lake. The west town line is the border of Oswego County.
Forest Park is located in Camden, off of Route 13. Emmons Brook and Cob Brook run through the park.

Camden – The Village of Camden is at the junction of NY 13 and NY 69.

Hillsboro – A hamlet west of Camden village.
Preston Hill – A location south of Camden village.
Westdale – A hamlet in the northwest part of the town.
Westdale Dam Falls
Florence is a town in Oneida County. The town is named after the city Florence in Italy. The Town of Florence is in the northwest corner of Oneida County and is northwest of the City of Rome.
History
Florence was created from part of the Town of Camden in 1805.
Geography
The west town line is the border of Oswego County, and Oswego County and Lewis County form the north town line.

Corkin Hill – An elevation located southeast of Thompson Corners. Partially in the Town of Annsville.
Empeyville – A hamlet near the east town line.
Florence – The hamlet of Florence is in the northern part of the town.
Florence Hill – A hamlet southwest of Florence.
Forty-six Corners – A location north of Empeyville.
I have been to this area a few times now, looking for a waterfall that has been confirmed by a friend of mine as being there, yet I have not yet walked/hiked in far enough to find and see.
Hanifin Corners – A location north of Empeyville.
Thompson Corners – A location south of Empeyville.
Wickwire Hill – An elevation located west of Thompson Corners.
Floyd is a town in Oneida County. The town is named after William Floyd, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. The Town of Floyd is located east of the City of Rome and the former Griffiss Air Force Base. The Erie Canal passes along the south part of the town.
History
The Town of Floyd was founded in 1796 from the Town of Steuben. William Floyd, for whom the town is named, became a resident of Oneida County in 1794. The town was briefly mentioned in the 1996 film “City Hall,” where the two main characters were stuck in Floyd while waiting for snow to clear off the train tracks.
Geography
The Mohawk River defines the south town line. Nine Mile Creek, which flows through the southeast part of the town, was originally known as Te-ya-nun-sak, or Teyanunsoke, “a beech tree standing.”

Camroden – A hamlet in the northwest part of the town named by Welsh immigrants. Welsh was the predominant language here from 1825 until the late 1880s.
There are several falls in this local area. My former company I worked for gave me the locations. The photo below was the biggest. I seen a trail, however was unsure of the land status.
East Floyd – A hamlet in the northeast part of the town.
Floyd – The hamlet of Floyd on NY 365.
Pen Bonc Hill – An elevation in the northeast corner of the town.

South Hill – A small mountain range in the northeast corner of the town. Partially in the Town of Western.
Steuben Valley – A hamlet at the northeast corner of the town.
Stittville – A hamlet at the east town line.
Forestport is a town in Oneida County. The Town of Forestport is located in the northeast corner of Oneida County. The northern part of the town is in the Adirondack Park. Forestport was created from the Town of Remsen in 1869.
Geography
The east town line is the border of Herkimer County, and The north town line is the border of Lewis County. The Black River and Kayuta Lake define the west town line.

Anos Siding – a location in the northeast part of the town.
Forestport – the hamlet of Forestport is located on the banks of the Black River off NY 28 in the southwest part of the town.
Forestport Reservoir – A reservoir located by the hamlet of Forestport.

Forestport Station – a hamlet east of Forestport.
Holiday House – a location on NY 28 north of Woodgate.
Long Lake – a lake in the northeast part of the town north of Woodgate.
Meyers Hill – An elevation located northeast of Woodhull.
Nichols Mills – a location in the northeast part of the town.
Otter Lake – a hamlet located on NY 28 in the northeast corner of the town.
Otter Lake – a lake located in the northeast corner of the town by the hamlet of Otter Lake.
Round Lake – A lake located southeast of Long Lake.
White Lake – a lake south of Long Lake and adjacent to Route 28.
Woodgate – located 7 miles north of the hamlet of Forestport on SR 28.
Woodhull – a hamlet southwest of Forestport.

Lee is a town in Oneida County. The Town of Lee is northwest of Rome, New York.
History
The Town of Lee was formed from the Town of Western in 1811. The town was named after Revolutionary War General Charles Lee.
Geography
Delta Reservoir, also called Delta Lake, is partly in the southeast part of the town, created in 1911 as a feeder for the New York State Barge Canal by flooding the Village of Delta.

Remsen is a town in Oneida County. The town is named after Henry Remsen, an early settler. The Town of Remsen contains a village also named Remsen. The town is north of the city of Utica.
History
The Town of Remsen was formed in 1798 from part of the Town of Norway in Herkimer County, New York when Oneida County was formed. In 1869, part of Remsen was used to form the new Town of Forestport.
Geography
The east town line is the border of Herkimer County. The Black River, widened into Kayuta Lake by a dam, defines the north part of the town. Remsen is at the border of the Adirondack Park.

Bailey Hills – An elevation located northwest of Ninety-six Corners.
Bardwell Mill – A location east of Hennedaga, south of Kayuta Lake.
Kayuta Lake – A lake partly in the northwest part of the town.
Hinckley Reservoir – A reservoir partly in the southeast part of the town.
Hennedaga – A hamlet in the northwest part of the town.
Ninety Five Hill – An elevation west-northwest of Ninety-six Corners.
Ninety-six Corners – A hamlet on Route 365 near the east town line.
Remsen – The Village of Remsen is in the southwest part of the town.
Remsen Falls, Near Remsen Depot
Steuben is a town in Oneida County. The town is named after Baron von Steuben, a Prussian general who fought on the American side in the American Revolutionary War. The Town of Steuben is approximately 18 miles northwest of Utica, New York.
History
Steuben was formed from part of the Town of Whitestown in 1792. In 1796, part of Steuben was used to form the newer Town of Floyd and Town of Rome. Steuben was reduced again in 1797 to form the Town of Western.

East Steuben – A hamlet in the northeast part of the town.

Steuben Valley – A hamlet at the south town line and Southeast of Steuben.
Trenton (called Ose-te-a-da-que, “in the bone” by the Haudenosaunee) is a town in Oneida County.
History
The first settlement was developed in 1793 by Gerrit Boon in Barneveldt, as an agent of the Holland Land Company. The town was formed in 1797 from the Town of Schuyler (in Herkimer County, New York).
Geography
The West Canada Creek forms the eastern town line, the border of Herkimer County. The town lent its name to the “Trenton Group”, a limestone bed that extends to Minnesota.

Barneveld – The hamlet of Barneveld is in the east central part of the town, west of Trenton Falls.
Barneveld Station – A location south of Barneveld on New York State Route 12 (NY 12).
Fox Hill – An elevation located north-northeast of Barneveld.

Hinckley – A hamlet located on NY 365 near the Hinckley Reservoir on the north bank of West Canada Creek.
Holland Patent – The Village of Holland Patent is in the southwest part of the town on NY 365.
Mapledale – A location south of Barneveld.
Prospect – A hamlet in the northeast corner of the town.
South Trenton – Located off NY 12 near the southern town border with Deerfield.
Steuben Valley – A hamlet at the west town line.
Trenton Falls – A waterfall and hamlet at the east town line on West Canada Creek.

Trenton Falls Station – A location west of Trenton Falls.
Vienna /vaɪˈɛnə/ is a town in Oneida County. The town is named after the capital of Austria. The Town of Vienna is in the western part of the county.
History
Vienna was formed out of the town of Camden when it was divided in April 1807. The town’s original name was “Orange” but shortly after the town’s formation, it was renamed to “Bengal.” Eight years later, in 1816, Bengal was renamed to its current name of Vienna.
Geography
The town borders Oneida Lake and the west town line is the border of Oswego County. The Erie Canal is on the south border near Sylvan Beach. Fish Creek defines part of the east town line and joins the Erie Canal near Sylvan Beach.

Edgewater Beach – A hamlet on the west shore of Oneida Lake, north of Sylvan Beach.

Fish Creek Landing – A hamlet at the intersection of Vienna Road and Cook Road.
Hall Corners – A location northwest of Jewell.
Jewell – A hamlet on NY 49 on the north shore of Oneida Lake.
Long Crossing – A hamlet west of North Bay on Route 49.
Loomis Corners – A location north of Jewell.
Maple Flats – A hamlet near the west town line.
McConnellsville – A hamlet north of Vienna village on Route 13.
North Bay – A hamlet west of Vienna village on Route 49.
Pine – A hamlet in the eastern part of the town.
Sylvan Beach – The Village of Sylvan Beach is on the east end of Oneida Lake on Route 13.
Thompson Corners – A hamlet in the northwest part of the town.

Western is a town in Oneida County. The Town of Western is an interior town of Oneida County, north of Rome.
History
The Town of Western was formed in 1797 from the Town of Steuben. In 1811, part of Western was used to form the newer Town of Lee.

Delta Reservoir, also called Delta Lake, is mostly in the southwest part of the town.
